Terms of Use
Principles governing the use of Privatera's accountless, end-to-end encrypted communication service.
1. As-Is Service
Privatera is provided free as-is, without warranties or guarantees of any kind, either express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or continuous availability.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Privatera solely for lawful communications. You must not use the service to transmit malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, disrupt bridge infrastructure, or attempt to bypass security boundaries.
3. No Mailbox or Storage Guarantees
Privatera operates an ephemeral bridge. Because there is no persistent server-side storage or offline mailbox, message delivery requires active peer connections. If a recipient is unreachable or keys have been reset, messages cannot be recovered.
4. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your own device, browser environment, and operating system. Privatera does not retain passwords or recovery keys and cannot assist in data recovery if browser storage is cleared.
